Something like a "European" barrel size for eyepieces in telescopes is not known here. However, before the US and Japanese standards took over, say in the 60's and 70's, 31.0mm was a quite popular size at least in germany. Alternatively, if some eyepieces come from use in microscopes, they may have sizes of 30.0 and 23.5 mm - so better be prepared for any surprize. Klaus-Peter Schroeder
