Does the "1.25" and "2" in 1.25-inch and 2-inch focusers refer exactly to the outside diameter of the eyepiece barrel or the inside diameter of the focusing tube itself?
Whichever, how much clearance should there be between the eyepiece and focuser tube?
Is all this formally specified anywhere?
SECOND, I'm looking for a supply of low cost 1.25inch rack and pinion focusers. Meade seem to have discontinued selling theirs.
