I "discovered" the Microgrig that Mel refers to about three years ago and wouldn't grind another mirror without it! I switch to the microgrit at 30 micron (about 320 grit) and go from there to 12 micron and then to 3 micron! Mel is absolutely right, it "works" much faster and when you get through, there are very few pits because of the accuracy in the screening (I guess). Expensive, but worth the money.
