I have an old 12.5" mirror project that I'd like to finish at some point. I had made a plaster tool and used Wilmann-Bell Ceramic Hex tiles epoxied to the tool surface. Well, in hoggin out the f/7 sag I went through most of the tile on the tools edge. Now I'm at 220 grit and I can see the tiles at the edge are slowlly disappearing.
So, what do I do now ? Do I need to cover the entire tool with new tiles (over the existing to retain the curve) and back up a grit or two ?
Any suggestions appreciated !
