I endorse that -- although I bought my copy here (UK) as "The Standard ...[etc]".

Other things that have inspired me are the Scientific American "Amateur telescope Making" books -- much of it is out of date, but I found that they inspired me with their creativity -- I had lot's of ideas, some of which worked which resulted from the way those books somehow taught me to approach things.
