I had read that the liquid used in the Sigler lenses was a closely
guarded secret of Lockheed. Is this true. Perhaps Bob Madden can help us out?
I would dearly love to find out what it is since the glass used in the rest
of the lens is supposed to be very common optical glass. I have read that
a lens could be made for $400 which would rival the finest apochromats
costing near $5000.
