Steve:  You are getting a lot of bad information from "experts" that have niether made nor used a Mersenne telescope.  I have constructed and use a 20 and 30 inch Mersenne.  The images are excellent and there are no obvious aberrations.  If the paraboloids are well made, image quality will depend upon the instrument that forms the final image.
