    That's only a ten percent hit between cheap plate glass and
coverslip, whatever that is.  I'm not worried about UV as a CCD
is very insensitive to it unless it is a coated CCD expressly for
UV work.  The peak efficiency for CCDs are more in the deep red
and in the IR and most glasses of the optical variety do hold up
fairly well in that region.
