I cut my teeth on a 200mm F/6 37 years ago and, with help, it didn't cause
too many problems. The increased resolution and brightness over a
150mm is well worth it in my opinion. More important than size is to
join a club and get the help of experienced mirror makers.

I agree with Ross, an 8" is easier is some ways to handle than a 6",
although I could manage neither without machine assistance these days.
