Apparently there is going to be an amateur telescope makers conference somewhere in South America in November. My Spanish is somewhat feeble, so I preface the original Spanish with a slightly edited Babelfish translation.

I would like to invite You and all members of your organizations to participate in the Second International Astronomy Congress of the Astronomical Training center of Mar de la Plata (Sea of the Silver) and the Fourth Meeting of Southern Hemisphere Amateur Telescope Makers that will take place in the city of Mar de la Plata, Argentina, from the 15th to the 18th of November of 2007.
Already professional and amateur astronomers from eight countries have confirmed that they will attend. There will be four intense days of activities such as oral conferences, seminars, posters, factories, exhibitions, clinics of construction of telescopes and astronomical observation. We know of the important work as far as the study and compatible spreading of astronomy and sciences that its organization makes and would be for us an enormous privilege to count on the presence of a delegation of the same one in our event.
