Re: [ATM] pressing and glueing a wooden disk

If you really insist on using wood for this, you want to put in
as many layers of plywood as you can afford. The thin door skin
thickness plywood is better for this than the thicker types.
Furniture grade plywood is done with many thin layers of wood
rather than the five layers of a thicker wood where there are two
thin layers of veneer and three thick layers of interior wood.
Also helpful is to insure that when you glue the wood together,
you put the layers in different directions so that all directions
as possible are represented in the layers. Might as well cut
them round first and then glue them together. Use any waterproof
glue )white glues are NOT waterproof!_ to put the layers together
and sandbags do an excellent job of providing an easy weight that
will cover everything.
