Hi Tim,
I'm not sure how liquid nails will hold up over time,
but epoxy is a good bet. You might want to choose an
epoxy with a long cure time that will give you time to
iron out/smooth out the inlay of your aluminum
surface. I've had good luck with JB Weld as well as
the store bought generic epoxy. JB Weld is metal
impregnated and gives an extremely tough, but workable
surface--more so than standard resin expoxy.
