[ATM] Gluing aluminium to Wood

Hi all,

I need to face the inside edge of my ground ring that roller bearings ride 
on with a strip of 12mm aluminium because of increased pressure put on it by 
the tensioning spring of a servocat unit that I am installing.  Any tips on 
how to do this.  The guy at the hardware shop suggested "liquid nails".
