Re: [ATM] refractive index of air
I've found that even in a null test that you should use a mask
and do the Foucault test on the surface to insure that the null
really is one. There have been times that I've looked at a
"null" and discovered that it really isn't but rather is a little
eliptical and that really isn't good.
Running the Norman Test with the couder mask will insure that you
really have nailed the exact conic constant that you desire.
BTW, which ROC is the correct one on a secondary, the one at the
edge or the one at the center of the surface for the speciffied
ROC of the mirror? I've always assumed that it is the center of
the surface.
