Mike,
 There is another way to use a laser pointer to get
on-axis to test such a fast mirror - use the laser
pointer with/without the lens in place,shoot the laser
beam through a microscope objective (that then
produces a point source) and reflect it off a 50/50
beamsplitter.On axis and a point source.Add a small
spherical mirror in line with the laser and you have a
LUPI interferometer.
