[ATM] I got this blank...

... it's pyrex about 1 5/8".  It appears to be molded (not 
cut from sheet).  It is not blanchard ground.  Both  sides 
have a ridge.  One side (the best back) has a 
negative-ridge (not raised  - the rest of the blank is 
raised) of about 3/16".  The topside has a raised ridge 
about 2 to 3 hundreds of an inch high.

Does anyone mind telling me what preparations are required 
to make this blank useable?  I am familiar with the idea 
of no wedge... but this looks like a considerable amount 
of work, so I'm just checking.
