[ATM] Scratches on a primary back from the coaters...

To the list,

          Scratches on a primary mirror during a Foucault test are more than 
obvious... They look like
someone "ice skated" on clean ice. Any "circular" scratches unseen in your 
test's were "wiped on"
during cleaning. From your foucault photos I did not see any scratches ,, 
but there is a "focus" point that shows the most micro inperfections , Even 
the best mirrors have micro scratches... But 2" and 1"
circular"s are  not good if you did not put them there.. Just remember that 
these have no interference in your light path and will not affect  the 
visual aspect of your mirror, only vanity...
