But you see that is exactly my point: focusing and alignment affect each
other - this cannot be avoided.  Every time you focus the eyepiece you
potentially affect alignment.  Hopefully the focuser is co-incident to the
primary mirror axis so that optical alignment doesn't change, but the
potential is always there.
