I've done a few blanks by the spin them and rub the side method
that the oldimers did.  I haven't built a centerless grinder but
I may in the future if I find a need.  For doing glasswork, I'd
make two rollers (I think that the fixed rubbing block would be
better done as a steel roller) and put a diamond grinder outside
of the two rollers.  I'd also do a set of rollers to keep the
disc upright on the grinding part just to make sure and make the
roolers sprung as well as adjustable to make sure that the angle
stays constant.
