[ATM] Simple Foucault tester for astigmatism
Continuing Ken Hunter's idea, you could use a V groove instead of an L and
use a conventional Foucault tester. Put the LED at the vertex of the V and
using the left angled edge or the right angled edge by cutting it in or
out. You have to get used to the idea of the knife cutting in from two
different sides, but you can think of it as coming in from the bottom or
top instead and the you turn the carriage knob the same way for both edges.
You make a mask with two sets of holes 90 degrees apart at plus and minus
45 degrees, so that you don't have to touch the mirror during testing.
