One thing to note is that any grinding or polishing powders that
you get from outside of the optical industry do tend to be of a
bit less quality for grain size.
Better to find a shop that grinds and polishes eyeglass lenses
for quality powders.
>From the description of still having large grains in the CeO, it
may be wise to let it settle longer and take off the top of the
water only for better results. Throwing away 1/4 of the CeO
(save it for another job) may be necessary to get rid of the
large grains.
You can always take the large gained stuff and grind it between
glass plates and get the big stuff broken down.
