[ATM] L-H telescope under construction

Hi all,

I had ordered 1 set of 127mm diameter L-H lenses and now they are under
construction in a Chinese optical company.

I supposed to order 10 sets together with some ATMers but now I do think I
should take the risk and make a real one first due to somebody do not trust
sth on the internet. The price is double for one set compares with one in 10
sets. -_-!

I use OSLO/Zemax software to get the best system parameters. It is a F/5
design and 20% diameter obstruction both suitable for visual and photograph.
BFL is 51mm which is okay for any SLR/DSLR.

I will try to use an unique tube design. Fix the mirror in 1 tube and the
corrector in another tube and connect them by screw, seperate them and put 1
into another for compacted size when carry out. So no hours needed for cold
the air in the tube. Try to use Mg-Al alloy tube if possible as it is very
light.

I read some mails talking about blank glass price in US and think it is
really expensive and so they hardly can make a L-H by themselves. With that
price I can buy a whole set of polished lenses in China. The problem in
China is seldom people like astronomy but not the money.

Best Regards,
Ukyo Chen
