The only "deficiency" with the Stellafane tester is that I don't
like the V grooved pieces holding the top part to the bottom
part.  I prefer to take a pair of blocks and drill them for
clearance to the rod and run them on the rod so that the top part
is captured by the rod.  This allows me to pickup the tester and
move it about without having to replace the top on the base.
