I don't feel the need to have 32K^2 arrays are needed but you can
get to FFTs of that size if needed. For a single shot on a set
of data, you can determine how close the results are with
something that large being a "reference" for the smaller array
conversions. A 1K^2 array is probably larger than is needed to
get to a decent accuracy but it wiold be nice to find out if you
really are "there" for the accuracy.
Then again, you have to remember that I'm ont a math major and
don't represent myself as such. I do softwer on occasion and
when math comes along, I usually find the formulas from somewhere
and bull through the rest until it works. Assembly language on
microcontrollers is where I do my best work when programming.
