I agree with the others, use some wax and put it between the
tiles.  Celan as needed between grits.  Personally, I'd have him
fill the space with the wax just to insure that the grit doesn't
fall down between the tiles very far and thus become useless.
I do realize that you do want to sell grit but really wasting it
doesn't need to be done. <grin>
