I think: all we need care about on the truss tube vibration is the 
fundamental, as higher harmonics go outside the rest-of-the-scope's resonant 
frequency.  The fundamental vibration on a truss tube is calculated from 
length, and stiffness (dia, thickness, material type).

I think: the goal is to use the truss tubes as a dampening device - they are 
a major structural element - don't stop at trying to get them to not 
resonate, instead, go for the gold and get the truss tubes to absorb the 
wind and human energy being dumped into the upper end of the tube assembly
