[ATM] Using a weight during polishing

Hi guys,

I started (never finished) a 6" Pyrex blank and during the polishing 
stages, I used a 5lb weight on top of the lap.  I seemed to recall my 
surface was smoother doing it this way.  Did not know if anyone does 
something similar?  It made it easier to polish.
