Is there any to to not expect the answer to be something like
(using Schott-2K N-BK7 and F5 as the basis):

       120 * dndC - dvdC = dvd - 0.27
        60 * dndF - dvdF = 0.16 - dvd

where dndC is the difference in nd value from nominal for
the Crown, dvdC the difference in vd value from nominal
for the Crown (with like definitions for the Flint) and
dvd is some arbitrary (but nominally small) value of vd
difference?
