I wouldn't use plate glass with a LH as the striations will be
way too big to really deal with without doing a double pass test
of the whole scope and figuring out the striation errors.  The
guy here was going to do a 13" LH and the corrector glass was
going to be about 3/4" thick.  That is way too much of a
probablity of getting bad glass for refracting work out of plate
glass.
