What about the extra long path from the secondary to eyepiece when designing a
binoscope?
Maybe there is a use here to minimise the secondary size.
Is it possible to use a lens in the light path from the first secondary to
convert the cone to a parrallel beam, then another lens to convert the
parrallel beam back to a cone just before the second secondary?
If this could work the the distance between the two eyepieces could be varied
without affecting focus.
Yeah, I know, a lot of surfaces, just thinking out loud.
