[ATM] Foucault Slit

Is there any common object that can be used to calibrate the slit-width on
the Foucault light source?  Should it be as wide as a the cover on a book of
matches?  (Too wide, I think.) As wide as a standard pin?  As wide as the
shaft of a push-pin?  etc. etc.  How wide is too wide?  I suppose there is
no "too narrow."

Thanks for thoughts on this.

My tester has a slit formed by 2 single-edged razor blades held in place top
and bottom by tinnerman nuts.  It's easy to adjust.  I just don't have clear
idea of what it should be.
