Re: FW: [ATM] re Aluminium casting
Melting aluminum cans does not work. I have tried it, and it leads to
aluminum cans turned to a crusty oxide.
Has anybody successfully melted aluminum cans and aluminum foil ? I don't
want to buy a vacuum furnace.
Does anybody know a good source for cryolite? Perhaps that could flux the
aluminum and shield it from oxygen before it oxidizes.
