Re: [ATM] viewing chair

There is a spare mirror set fro the Isaac Newton Telescope in a crate at Herstmonceux. About 2.4m diameter. I've been wondering if an enterprising ATM could make use of it.

I can imagine a very large Dobsonian mount, with the Cassegrainian focus under the main mirror, perhaps the observer could sit on the rocker with the main mirror overhead. No need for ladders.

"Um - I think I can hear something creaking..."
