Re observing chairs..

A few years ago, at RTMC, there was a guy with a *big* dob and a *bigger*
armchair on some sort of movable base. Sometime during one night the chair
collapsed with him in it..the next AM he, the dob, and the chair were gone
from the telescope field...

I've always dreamed of having a scope *big* enough to have
a chair attached to the top of the OTA, with a swiveling drink holder
and built in sound system/headphones. Maybe a broken 48" + Nasmyth
cass with the eyepiece out the elev axis..:)

Then there's the 30" Mersenne cass (Clyde Bone's) with swiveling
refractor viewer that allowed one to be seated on the ground.
However, with 4 reflecting surfaces, 6 refracting + diagonal mirror +
eyepiece there was a large scatter component.
