This is why I prefer the 9V battery design for the LED power supply.  Not
only does the light remain more constant over the life of the battery but
the falloff at the end of life of the battery much faster.  In addition,
making an adapter so you can use a wall wart is a lot easier to do and the
wall warts are a lot more common in the 8-12V range.
