The 2.5m SDSS at Apache Point NM has an enclosure that completely 
(except for the front..;) surrounds the telescope & moves with it
on a coaxial alt az mount. They're located over the edge and ~20'
above a cliff to get out of ground turbulence, but still have
to contend with a *lot* of wind.
