ATM Removable bearings for a dob

Hi,

I'm currently designing a 24" dob and to save height during transport, I'm 
trying to find a good solution to have removable bearing. First I tought to 
remove only the upper part but it can be tricky to make a soft bearing 
surface joining part and that may give problem at the eyepiece. May be 
"round angle" shape teflon pads are enough to absorb the "gap" between two 
parts in case the connection is not accurate enough. Second choice, remove 
the whole bearing, do you have any web site or ideas about that ? Bearing 
will be removable. I would like to have an easy setup. I think Stathis has 
worked on something similar if memory serves me.
