Someone gave me a good idea: make a one string "guitar" and "tune" it with
known weights. I'm making the "fingerboard" out of a scrap piece of AL angle
with two pieces of AL angle at either end for "bridges" and a 50lb fishing
scale to apply a known tension.

I'll then tweak the tension until it sounds like my scope and read the
tension from the scale.

Anyone got any requests? Musical, that is...
