I've got a paper on doing aplanic scopes and I should really get it into a
HTML file so that I can put it on my website.  It shows how to derive the
aplanic versions of most scopes and the R-C is in that category.  The
problem with that spec is that the secondary tends to be fairly large which
is something that the amateur tends not to want tho for hysterical reasons.
Otherwise, in the R-C design, so much else has been eliminated that the
field curvature tends to be significant besides the astigmitism off of the
axis.
