Ignore them.  Flat out you have a good lap if the bubbles are fairly even in
area about the blocks.  Besides, the first part of polishing is always a
simple thing with no real detail needed.  Maybe by the end of polishing the
lakes will close up but even if they don't, don't worry about them.
Sometimes I wish that I had taken pictures of some of the laps that I've
worked with and have seen.  Some were works of art and the mirror that came
off of them was lousy and then there were laps that, according to the purist
design people were basically trash laps, were ugly looking that produced
1/20th wave optics in short order.
