Re: ATM Cassegrain as 2nd project / optics calculations
The book to get (along with the software for it) is the Rutten and Van
venRooij book Telescope Design from Willmann-Bell. The software is basic
DOS stuff and the authors make no apologies for it but it does do accurate
designs. The book itself goes through a whole lot of various designs
(you'll see some different stuff in there!) and provides good explainations
of them. It also handles refractors decently. You'll find it to be a book
that sits at your side table for gentle perusing.
