ATM removing tarnish
I was navigating around trying to find the practical differences on using
ethyl alcohol versus isopropyl alcohol for specimen preparation for
microscopy. And found this great page!!!!
It may not be very important for those who have aluminizing facilities at
reach within reasonable costs, but out of the U.S. an some few countries the
rest of the world wild find silvering mirrors as the only choice available
for making their own mirror.
The process described in the page maybe very useful for removing tarnish
without damaging the silver coat.

The only complication I see is how to make the silver coating to make
contact with a piece of aluminum.
I have not tested the process. But looks very promising. I do not have a
silvered mirror right know so I cant try it, but maybe someone on the list
can test it and sent his comments to the list.
