I ordered a 12.5" f/5 BVC mirror from ASM at the
beginning of January, 2001. He quoted me a lead time of a few weeks. Its now
been over seven months and I still haven't received my mirror. I also don't have
a date from him when I can expect it. Over the past seven months,
he repeatedly told me to expect it within a month. When the time passed,
I got another reason why there was additional delay. He claims a
list of manufacturing-related issues have prevented him from turning out
mirrors. He apparently hasn't sorted them out yet. I'd recommend waiting to
order a mirror from him until after at least I've received mine and I can tell
you how it turned out.
