While the 55 gallon drum respects tradition, it may be impractical for
apartment dwellers. I have found that kitchen counters work quite well for
mirrors up through at least 12". Gently clamp a piece of particle board or
MDF to the counter edge (1 clamp will do), screw in 3 restraint blocks, and
go for it. Instead of walking in circles, you just rotate the mirror a few
degrees (like roughly 20 degrees) 1 to 4 times a minute -- it's easy, and
that nearby sink is a big plus!
