Looks like the mirror is constrained by its mount to an astigmatic shape.

Instead of rings, do you see the small straight line become like
a fuzzy 4-fold leave near "focus" then a small straight line again
but rotated by 90 degrees from the other one? If yes, the astig,
possibly due to the mirror mount, confirms.
