I would go with the clear Selleys window and glass silicone sealant.
Recommended shelf life is 1 year, check the tube for an expiry date.
The GE II stuff Richard Swartz used was 8 years old, and the cap was left
off.
He was trying to reactivate it with vinegar, after he drilled a hole in the
side of the tube.
