ATM Wide Field Coma Corrector
Dear ATMers:
The following is an OSLO-like representation of a wide field coma corrector for a Newtonian. It has been specifically tuned up for a 16" f/5 paraboloidal mirror.
It covers a very wide field (almost 4" diameter at the focal plane). I might someday like to build this and I am looking for your inputs on the design and fabrication of the lens set.
Questions:
Has it been optimized as best possible?
Are there simplier coma correctors with similar performance?
Can it be fabricated by a careful amateur?
Thanks so much for taking a look.
Dave Rowe
