Hi,
Now rotate the mirror within the cell! I would not discount the
probablility that the mirror-cell combination is the double image producer!
Reason I say that is that we have a club scope that behaved much the same
way, and it appears that the mirror cell is stressing the
primary---producing enough astigmatism to almost look like a double image.
