Thermal doesn't exist with quartz.........but you better have
made a few mirrors before attempting a low f/ratio 24" mirror.......
and you better have a good reason. The sagitta for an f/4
would be .375 . Slumping would improve your chances......but
not by much. IMHO

Quick question for anyone. I can get a 24" diameter 1/2" thick nice piece of
quartz. Is a mirror possible? To thin for mechanical reasons, or thermal.
