ATM Sweet Machined Azimuth Keypad Bearings

Here are the flat-out sweetest working azimuth bearing pads I've ever used.
They give a nice ease-in to the subtlest tug with no noticeable break away,
and an equally nice ease-out to a stop. Very smooth motion, no texture.
Much better than various other Teflon and Teflon / roller-bearing schemes
I've also tried. Loading from the 20" scope is ~14 lbs / square inch.
Ebony Star Formica on the rocker box.

The squares are 0.41" on a side, milled 1/16" deep into 1/4" Teflon with a
3/16" end mill. It would be easy to cut the pattern using a drill press, a
sharp & fast drill bit, and a clamped straight edge. Well worth the effort,
IMHO.

Somebody on the List suggested this a while back, sorry can't recall
who...but Thanks!
